The Thursday Murder Club - Everything That Could Happen, Happened

Recently when I was re-setting up my Netflix account to watch Wednesday season 2, I noticed The Thursday Murder Club, based on the novel with the same name by Richard Osman as an upcoming release. It peaked my interest, especially seeing a few faces I was familiar with from Doctor Who like David Tennant, Ingrid Oliver and Celia Imrie. Coming from a British background myself and consuming a lot of British television and media, I had to give this one a go.
The premise follows a group of three seniors, who, every Thursday meet up in the puzzle room to figure out unsolved murders. The group of three consists of Elizabeth, Ron, and Ibrahim. While trying to piece together the events of the murder of a woman being thrown out a window with a knife, Elizabeth suggests that they look for someone who is an expert in medical to see if the woman would have survived the fall or not, or if the knife caused her to bleed to death.

Joyce, who had recently just moved into the Coopers Chase mistakenly stumbles across the Thursday Murder Club in session. With her previous medical expertise, she gets roped into the club to help them solve the crime. Things get turned upside down when a disagreance between the two owners of the property Ian Ventham and Tony Current starts over selling Coopers Chase to flatten it to create apartment buildings and an event space. The initial fight leads to multiple murders happening around the property and town, leaving the club members excited that they have a new murder mystery to solve.
Looping in a local police officer who had just recently moved to the area from London, the four work to solve the murders, as they realize if they don't they may no longer call Coopers Chase their home anymore. The film will constantly throw you away from guessing who the actual killer is, leaving you glued to the screen as you try and figure it out for yourself. The Thursday Murders Club members may get themselves in some hot water here or there, but you'll have to watch it to see the high stakes, and help the club solve the murders and evade being caught by the police. With all of this happening, you are left wondering if the initial murder they were trying to solve will eventually get solved.
The film stars, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Celia Imrie, Ben Kingsley, Tom Ellis, Daniel Mays, David Tenant, Johnathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Ingrid Oliver, Richard E Grant, Joseph Marcell, Paul Freeman, and Geoff Bell
