Live at Queen Elizabeth Theatre – November 20, 2025

FLOW returned to Toronto with their world tour Naruto The Rock, transforming Queen Elizabeth Theatre into a full-on celebration of one of the most legendary anime soundtracks ever made. The venue was fully packed with fans, many dressed in Akatsuki cloaks and Naruto headbands. Even before the show began, the building felt like a reunion of people who grew up with the same love for anime. It was a chill, friendly atmosphere with friends catching up, anime music floating through the room, and a quiet hum of anticipation that grew louder as the stage lights shifted.

When the show finally opened, a classic Naruto score took over the speakers as each member of FLOW walked onstage one by one. The entrance felt like an episode intro with a steady rise in tension, and the crowd responded immediately. With no opening act, the audience got a direct hit of nostalgia from the very first notes. The band’s setup was simple and effective. A full rock stage backed by a large central screen played emotional scene cuts from Naruto throughout the night. Certain songs triggered some of the anime’s most iconic moments including farewells, final battles, and character arcs fans have held onto for years. You could feel the shift in the room every time a clip appeared. In a few moments, people quietly wiped tears as familiar memories resurfaced.

FLOW kept the crowd engaged throughout the entire set. Nearly every opening from the anime sparked its own wave of cheering and singing, with fans reacting instantly the moment they recognized the first few notes.

When "GO!!!" hit, the audience shouted the famous lyrics “We are fighting dreamers!” Kohshi and Keigo hit synchronized jump kicks that sent a surge of energy through the room, and near the end, they guided the entire audience into a massive wave that rippled to the balcony. "GOLD" kept the energy at its peak. Takeshi stepped forward for sharp, expressive solos that pulled the front rows in closer. By the final breakdown, the vocalists were headbanging with the crowd, and the lead counted everyone down for a synchronized jump that landed with impact.

They closed with "Sign", one of FLOW’s most recognizable songs and their most streamed track on Spotify. As soon as it started, the crowd reacted immediately and sang it from start to finish. Everyone knew the lyrics, everyone participated, and it felt like a fitting way to end the night. Even without bassist Got’s, who missed the show due to medical recovery, the band performed with full force. Kohshi and Keigo were charismatic anchors throughout the night, constantly interacting with the audience and staying in sync during their jumps and poses. Takeshi delivered high-energy solos at the right moments, pushing the momentum even higher, while Iwasaki’s drumming gave every song its foundation and urgency.

Between songs, the band shared stories about how much they enjoyed being in Toronto. They also opened up about the early days of their career, how people didn’t believe in them, and how they kept going regardless, which earned a strong applause from the audience. When the lights came up after the final notes of Sign, fans shouted for an encore, but the show had already given them everything they came to experience. Outside the venue, groups in Naruto cosplay posed for photos, still buzzing with energy and talking about their favourite moments from the set.

FLOW’s Naruto The Rock felt like a shared memory lived out loud. A room full of people who grew up with the same show, the same music, and the same emotional moments. FLOW blended storytelling, nostalgia, and rock energy seamlessly, reminding everyone why they remain one of anime music’s most iconic bands. Toronto will definitely be waiting for their return.
