A Heartfelt Celebration of Family, Irish Heritage, and the Music That Brings Us Together

STREAM HERE

For more than three decades, New York-based Irish-American band Celtic Cross has built its sound around the traditions of its Irish heritage and the diverse musical influences of its New York upbringing. With their latest EP, Meet Me in the Kitchen, siblings Kathleen Fee, John Vesey, and Ken Vesey deliver a deeply personal collection of songs celebrating family, connection, and the memories that shape who we become.

Released October 9, 2026, the six-track project marks an exciting new chapter for the band, blending traditional Celtic instrumentation with contemporary folk, country, and rock influences.

At the heart of the EP is its title track, “Meet Me in the Kitchen,” a tribute to the gathering place that served as the center of the siblings' childhood. Inspired by the conversations, celebrations, hardships, and everyday moments shared around their family kitchen table, the song captures the universal feeling of belonging somewhere, no matter how far life takes us.

The project's tracklisting also showcases the band's musical range, with songs including “Dancin' Belfast,” “Slán Go Fóill (Goodbye For Now),” “Toss It Back,” and “Right Now,” alongside the instrumental “JFK Set.” Together, the selections reflect Celtic Cross's commitment to honoring their musical roots while embracing contemporary songwriting.

One of the project's notable strengths is the songwriting talent involved. Collaborators include Marti Frederiksen, known for his work with Aerosmith, Carrie Underwood, and Ozzy Osbourne, alongside Grammy-winning songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard and acclaimed Nashville writers Lance Miller, Paul Jenkins, Elisha Hoffman, and Kylie Sackley.

Yet what makes Meet Me in the Kitchen particularly meaningful is the story behind it. Raised in New York by Irish immigrant parents from County Mayo and County Longford, the siblings grew up surrounded by the music, traditions, and stories of Ireland. Those influences remain central to Celtic Cross's identity, even as the band continues to evolve.

With Kathleen Fee's expressive vocals, Ken Vesey's fiddle, and John Vesey's accordion at the forefront, Celtic Cross represents a musical connection between generations, cultures, and experiences.

More than simply a return to recording, Meet Me in the Kitchen represents a celebration of where Celtic Cross began and the traditions they continue to carry forward. It's a project rooted in the idea that music, much like family, has the power to bring people together.

For listeners drawn to heartfelt storytelling, Irish-American heritage, and the intersection of traditional Celtic music with contemporary influences, Meet Me in the Kitchen offers a meaningful introduction to the enduring story of Celtic Cross.
